Welcome
St Alban’s sees itself as a church for the local community, & includes those from further afield. In the days when Blue Bell Hill was a small village community, and many women remained at home to bring up their children, there was a strong community spirit with families joining together for a variety of activities, many of which revolved around the church. Today, though society has changed, the
fellowship provided by social activities is still important. St. Alban’s is renowned for home made cakes which are produced on every possible occasion!

Worship
Worship is at the heart of every Christian church.
We hold a service every Sunday morning at 9.30.
On the 1st, 3rd and 5th Sundays of the month this is a service of Holy Communion.
On the 2nd Sunday of the month we hold an all-age service of worship which is specifically intended to be accessible to young children, but which also contains a message for the adult members of the congregation.
On the 4th Sunday there is a quiet service of Holy Communion at 8.00a.m. and Morning Worship at 9.30a.m.
Provision for children. On all Sundays, except the 2nd Sunday in the month, our Junior Church caters for children from 3 –11. The children go with their leaders to a separate room after the first hymn and return to join the adults towards the end of the service. They have a mixture activities, often connected with the subject of the main service, and including stories, singing and crafts.
There is a small space at the back of the church with a selection of toys, books and puzzles for parents to go to with under 3’s if they are restless during the service.
Healing
Christian healing is Jesus Christ meeting people at their point of need’ (Morris Maddocks) St Alban’s is a place of peace in which many have found Jesus Christ meeting them at the point of their deepest needs.
Service of Healing and Wholeness. This is a quiet reflective service held at 10.30a.m. on the 3rd Thursday morning of each month.
